Deryn couldn't believe that Alek wanted to her to play Juliet. Juliet! Out of all the characters in that… thing! She had to get Juliet, A Capulet who falls in love with Romeo, and they get married the next day! Why on earth did they get married the next day anyway? Deryn sighed. Who knows she thought. Alek and she finally reach the topside of Leviathan; it was a clear, sunny day. The breeze was perfect, her hair all over the place, throwing and tossing, still has to be Juliet, she groaned.
Alek smiled "ready? Remember you're playing Benvolio, I'm playing Tybalt."
She frowned "I thought I was playing Tybalt."
Alek shook his head, "you seem to have your hands full. I'll be Tybalt."
"Alright."
They started
Since Alek, the stupid dummkopf didn't have another copy of the book; they had no choice to toss the decorated book back and forth. Back and forth, over and over again. Deryn was starting to get annoyed.
"Alek, this seems boring! Can we do something else?"
Alek frowned.
"It's not boring Dylan, its fun."
"It doesn't seem fun to me." Deryn muttered
Finally the scene, Where Romeo meets Juliet. Alek tossed her the book.
She read the parentheses, her eyes widen.
(Romeo and Juliet kiss)
Deryn cheeks turn red. She looked at Alek, he frowned.
"You do realize that they … kiss, don't you?"
Alek shrugged, "remember Dylan, it's an act."
"Right...An act." She muttered.
Alek grabbed her hand, she started to blush

[To Deryn] If I profane with my unworthiness hand
This holy shrine, the gentle fine is this:
My lips, two blushing pilgrims, ready stand
To smooth that rough touch with a tender kiss.
Deryn: Good pilgrim, you do wrong your hand too much,
Which mannerly devotion shows in this;
For saints have hands that pilgrims' hands do touch,
And palm to palm is holy palmers' kiss.
Alek: Have not saint's lips and holy palmers too?
Deryn: Ay, pilgrim, lips that they must use in prayer.
Alek: O, then, dear saint, let lips do what hands do;
They pray, grant thou, lest faith turn to despair.
Deryn: Saints do not move, though grant for prayers' sake.
Alek: Then move not, while my prayer's effect I take.
Thus from my lips, by yours, my sin is purged.
Deryn: Then have my lips the sin that they have took.
Alek: Sin from thy lips? O trespass sweetly urged!
Give me my sin again.
Alek closed his eyes, and leaned forward,
This was it! Deryn thought!
She was really going to kiss Alek! His lips were coming closer, and he was leaning even closer, an inch after inch!
What if someone is watching? Then everyone will figure out that…
Ugggh! She has to tell him to stop, no! She should enjoy this! Maybe they can fake kiss, maybe she should just kiss him on the cheek, and then run off!  
"Alek..." she began
"What? What is it? Something wrong?"
"Uh….." she wanted to just pull him forward and kisses till the sun sets, but he will learn what she is. Not yet.
"We can do a fake kiss?" Deryn suggested
Alek shrugged "that would be much better than kissing another boy."
Alek and Deryn shuddered. Well, she pretended to shudder.
The sun was moving down to its bed, and Deryn and Alek were almost to the part when Tybalt and Mercuito fight.
Deryn yawned, she was tired of pretending to be a girl, and tired of the play too.
Alek looked at her "You seem tired."
Deryn frowned "Aye, because I had to play Juliet all day long."
She stretched out like a cat, and Alek and she began to walk down to his stateroom,
Alek stopped. Deryn looked back at him
"Something wrong?"
Alek cam over and shoved her to a wall
"Barking—"
He didn't let her finished, and the two pilgrims shared a kiss.
